“Tradition”
Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret Red

The Tradition is a combination of Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan grapes aged for a minimum of one year in concrete vats that permit the wine to develop an open reflection of the mineral aspect of the land and the climate that produced it.

Tasting Notes:

A deep garnet red colour with well-blended black fruit aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, liquorice and truffle on a spicy background. The palate is both velvety and generous with supple fruit. This wine is ready to drink when bottled and will continue to evolve for some years to come.

Enjoy with red meat, game and cheese. Open several hours before serving. Serve at 16-18C.

Domaine Mourchon Appellation Séguret

The Domaine de Mourchon is one of 11 private producers making wine under the Côtes du Rhône-Villages Séguret appellation. Set in the hills behind Séguret to the east of Dentelles de Montmirail and to the west of Mont Ventoux, the Domaine de Mourchon enjoys outstanding views overlooking the Rhône valley.

Available in two styles: The traditional Côtes du Rhône-Villages and The Grande Réserve, the Domaine’s flagship wine:
 

“Grande Reserve”
Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret Red

To produce a deeper, rounder wine, our Grande Réserve is made solely from our best and oldest Grenache and Syrah vines. Around half of the Syrah is gently aged in oak barrels resulting in a richly complex and characterful wine.

The Grande Reserve 2004 was awarded a gold medal in the Vino Challenge 2006 competition. This wine was the only one from the Southern Rhône to win a gold.

Tasting Notes:

This wine is deep purple in colour with a nose suggesting spices, liquorice and cooked red fruits. The palate is full bodied with a pronounced fruit intensity and harmonious tannins. A wine that could be aged for 7-10 years.

Enjoy with red meat, game, cheeses, and even moderately spiced food. Open several hours before serving. Serve at 16-18C.
